-
Punish exposed flanks and retreating units
-

-
Force opponents into constant repositioning
House Navarro rewards mobility, precision, and opportunism.

THE BANNER OF THE GOLDEN LION
The banner of House Navarro bears a black lion beneath a radiant sun upon a field of yellow-gold.
-
The Lion — Courage, dominance, and rightful command
-
The Sun — Endurance, survival, and rebirth through adversity
-
The Gold Field — Fortune earned through action, not inheritance
House Navarro does not inherit power.
They take it forward.
ORIGINS OF HOUSE NAVARRO
House Navarro is new to Brittany—
arriving only one generation ago, in 1109.
They are outsiders.
Their claim to the Breton throne is, by noble standards, weak:
-
A ship lent to House Cornouaille during a skirmish with Normandy
-
A marriage tie through the current lord’s wife, descended from an illegitimate offshoot of House Cornouaille
By blood alone, they should be dismissed.
They are not.
THE WEIGHT OF ALLIANCE
What House Navarro lacks in pedigree, they compensate for in influence.
They hold alliances with:
-
The Kingdom of Castile
-
The Duchy of Aquitaine
The possibility of Castilian or Aquitanian intervention has shifted loyalties across Brittany.
Some lords support Navarro not out of belief—
—but out of fear of standing alone when banners rise.

FROM SUN AND SAND TO GOLD AND STEEL
House Navarro’s origins lie far from Breton stone.
Their earliest recorded ancestors were twin Berber brothers:
-
Ayrad — “The Lion”
-
Aylal — “The Bird”
Born in the sun-scorched deserts of northern Africa, their lineage survived conquest, migration, and religious war.
Centuries later, their descendant Sheik Omar Ghalib of Andalusia converted to Christianity and traveled north, settling in Navarre under the name Tomas Garindo Navarro.
From that point forward, the house rose—slowly, deliberately, relentlessly.
