HOUSE TRAIT — Piercing Volley

“Steel may endure—but bolts do not ask permission.”

House Le Morvan Crossbow units deal 2 hits when attacking Heavy Knights.

This advantage allows House Le Morvan to:

  • Neutralize heavily armored units

  • Punish elite formations efficiently

  • Break defensive stalemates

  • Threaten even the most durable enemies

House Le Morvan rewards measured aggression, discipline, and precision.

THE BANNER OF THE SEA SERPENT

The banner of House Le Morvan bears a sea serpent, coiled and watchful, upon a field of sea-green.

  • The Serpent — Ancient power, patience, and sudden violence

  • The Green Sea-Field — Tide, fate, and Breton identity

  • The Coil — A warning: what endures can also strike

House Le Morvan does not roar.
It waits.

ORIGINS OF HOUSE Le Morvan

ORIGINS OF HOUSE LE MORVAN

House Le Morvan is among the oldest houses of Brittany.

Where others arrived by marriage, migration, or conquest,
Le Morvan was already there.

For generations uncounted:

  • They intermarried with the royal line

  • Their second and third sons served as chamberlains, heralds, and stewards

  • Their name became synonymous with continuity and legitimacy

If blood alone decided the crown,
House Le Morvan’s claim would be unquestioned.

THE LEGEND OF BRANOK THE BRAVE

House tradition tells of Branok the Brave, a warrior ancestor whose ship was wrecked in a violent storm.

As the vessel broke apart and a great sea monster rose from the depths, Branok did not flee.

He dove.

Battling the beast beneath the waves, he drove his knife into the serpent’s chest and cut out its heart—saving his comrades and earning the sigil his house still bears.

True or not, the lesson endures:

House Le Morvan does not fear monsters.
They hunt them.
